Rihanna fires upon journalist for asking about Chris brown

Well, that’s one way to keep an interview short: Though Rihanna was willing to bare it all, physically, in Esquire UK’s June issue, she wasn’t so willing to talk about some of the more sensitive topics surrounding her personal life — specifically, her relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

“Some people felt it sent the wrong message,” the interviewer said to the “S&M” singer, regarding the two singles Rihanna recorded with her ex-boyfriend earlier this year. “You’d gone back to someone who put you in the hospital.” (Brown physically attacked Rihanna during a violent incident, in 2009, for which he was charged with domestic abuse.)

Needless to say, Rihanna, 24, wasn’t too thrilled with the comment. “Oh really?” she bit back. “Did I? Did I? Did I? Did I? … Okay. In a completely professional environment. And on a complete professional note. I mean, if I went back to him [as a girlfriend], then that’s a whole different discussion … I think a lot of people jumped to an assumption that was incorrect and they ended up looking stupid.”

The tongue-lashing didn’t stop there, with RiRi adding,

“This is turning into a tacky interview. What do you really want to talk about? I’m not here to [talk] about messy s**t … It upsets me that you keep asking the same kind of questions about stuff that’s trivial. What’s there to talk about? Are all your questions like that?”

This is just the latest incident this year in which Rihanna has fired back at the press. While rumors were swirling that she was dating Ashton Kutcher, the singer shot down any reporter who even attempted to ask such a personal question.

One example, back in March, while promoting Battleship in the UK, a British journalist asked the Barbados beauty, “You’re so good at connecting with people that I think that we actually feel we know you. Things are clearly going brilliantly in your career. I just wondered if you are as happy in your private life, and will we see a certain Mr. Ashton Kutcher perhaps making a trip over here?”

An obviously irritated RiRi tried to avoid the question, responding, “Wow, how disappointing was that question?”
