Deepika Padukone has finally shed inhibitions and done a full-fledged bikini scene in a film — for the first time.
The 26-year-old says it’s no big deal.
“When you are shooting on a beach, you have to look sexy. However, the highlight of the film is not the bikini here. I remember people making a big deal about Priyanka (Chopra) wearing a swimsuit in Dostana,” says Deepika, who has earlier worn the two-piece during her modelling days, and has also sported bikini tops in her films but with sarongs.
Talking about the bikini shoot, she admits that she really worked hard on her body for this sequence in actor-turned filmmaker Saif Ali Khan’s forthcoming production.
The film that also stars Saif and Diana Penty, was shot in Delhi, London and Spain and is set to release on July 13.
The makers of the film have also launched the first promo of their new production Cocktail, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, on YouTube midnight on Sunday.
The first look promos will be exclusive online, followed by invites to a Cocktail party via Facebook, and promotions on Twitter related stories as well. After making its presence felt online, the makers will release theatrical and TV promos on June 1.
