Shah Rukh Khan has been confirmed as the headline act for Celebrate Bollywood.

The concert - which is expected to attract up to 60,000 attendees - is scheduled to take place at London's Hyde Park in July.

The gig will feature performances from 12 of Hindi cinema's biggest names, as well as Star TV serial stars and singers Shreya Ghoshal and Mika Singh.

Former London resident Katrina Kaif is also performing at the UK concert, promoters claim.

Both Khan and Kaif are expected to return to the UK in June to begin the second schedule of their upcoming Yash Chopra film.

Khan has a residence close to Hyde Park and is known to spend time there when staying in London.

The concert is being held to commemorate 100 years of Indian cinema. Raja Harishchandra, India's earliest silent film, was first screened in Mumbai in May 1913.

The event will also be filmed in HD and screened at a later date on Star Plus worldwide.

Celebrate Bollywood takes place on July 10.
