"3 Idiots " gets 2 million views on Youtube

Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots has been made available for online viewing.

Since being uploaded on to YouTube in April, the Vidhu Vinod Chopra-produced film has garnered over 200,000 views.

"Vidhu Vinod Chopra has taken the decision of showcasing his movies across online platforms. The first movie to be showcased at this online retrospective is 3 Idiots," said a statement.

"The initiative of making this film available online will curb piracy and enhance the reach."

3 Idiots broke Bollywood box office records following its release in 2009, becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in India.

The project also found success in China and the East Asian territories after it was given a theatrical release in the region.

Chopra is preparing to release Ferrari Ki Sawaari, which launches 3 Idiots actor Sharman Joshi as a solo male lead.
