Stallone to attend Indian premiere of film

Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone and his producer Sajid Nadiadwala have hit it off so well, that Sajid has convinced the Rocky star to attend the Mumbai premiere of Kambakht Ishq this summer.
Sajid said, “Yes, Stallone will be coming to Mumbai for the premiere. In fact, we’ve gotten along so well that I’ve convinced him to work with us in the future too. But it’s too early to talk about any concrete plans. He did give me a book but that doesn’t mean I’m making a film on it.”
Currently, Sajid is busy with making an English version of Kambakht Ishq. “I am getting dubbing artistes for everyone’s parts, including Sly’s,” said Sajid from Vicenza, a quaint little town near Venice where he is shooting the last few portions of Kambakht Ishq with Kareena Kapoor, Akshay, Aftab Shivdasani and Amrita Arora.
Sajid’s ambitious plans for Kambakht Ishq involve releasing the English along with the original Hindi version in April-May 2009.
Commenting on the English version, Sajid added, “It will definitely be shorter than the original. And yes, there won’t be any songs.”
And knocking off the elaborate song sequences is not as easy as it sounds. “We’ve shortlisted three guys who specialise in editing Hollywood musicals. One of them has even worked on The Wedding Singer (1998). I’ll hire one of them to put together the English version of Kambakht Ishq. I don’t want this film to be seen as the dubbed version of a Bollywood film.”
And this is exactly where the presence of Hollywood actors Denise Richards and Holly Valence will help. Sajid said, “These stars will help us connect with the American audience. In India, people wouldn’t come to a film to watch these stars. All they would care about is Akshay Kumar.”
