KJo, Ajay, Kajol, Arjun speak up against terror

As the terror siege finally ended after three days of intense fighting, resentment and anger gripped even Bollywood stars, with many of them speaking on issues varying from internal security to political apathy.

Karan Johar has blogged about the terror attacks on his website. He writes, "A few days ago the problems plaguing us were issues concerning estranged relationships with family members, that fight you had with your sister or that impending break-up with your lover. Our focus has now shifted to something so much bigger than us, but in order to fight this fear, in order to regain confidence as a city we must strengthen ourselves. We must fix our problems at home before we can tackle attacks from outside."

Even Maqbool actor Irrfan Khan demanded accountability and transparency from the concerned authorities. He was quoted by Mid Day saying, "There have been so many situations in the past, so many lives lost... but who has been held responsible or punished? It's not just the responsibility of the government. Every department who knew about what was happening should be held accountable and punished!"

Wednesday's terror attacks coincided with Arjun Rampal's birthday and henceforth it would be very difficult for the actor to associate his birthday with happy memories. However the actor urged people to avoid blaming Pakistan for these terror attacks and was quoted by Mid Day saying, "Why do you expect better from the neighbouring country? It's been happening for so many years. What has the blame game achieved? Instead, why not ensure that we are terror proof? Look how no attack has happened in the US after 9/11; why can't we ensure that our cities are safe?"
